Recently I became a participant in the Sea to Summit Affiliate Program, and I couldn’t be happier as I’ve been using Sea to Summit products for over 20 years now.

So, what I’d like to do today is tell my story, as best as I can remember it, about my history of using products by Sea to Summit.

I don’t recall exactly which product I first bought from Sea to Summit, but I think that it was one of their micro fiber towels that I took when I went on an incredible trip to the Amazon rain forest in Brazil in my 20’s.

I still use my old version over 20 years later!!!

I think that the next product that I bought from Sea to Summit was the Sea to Summit Kitchen Sink, which I also still have to this day, some 20 years later. While perhaps not a super ultralight piece of kit, for those who aren’t gram weenies, this may be a good option for backpackers, though I bought it for car camping.

Available in 5, 10, and 20 liter sizes, there’s a size perfect for you!

It has been so long since I bought the Sea to Summit Lite Line Clothesline that I don’t remember exactly why I bought it, but for backpacking trips where I’ve needed to wash and/or dry my clothes, this product has come in handy.

For trips when drying wet clothes is inevitable, this product is fantastic!

Those three items were my first purchases from Sea to Summit, and after using them, I held Sea to Summit in high regard. Sure, a towel is a towel is a towel, and do I really need a kitchen sink? Can’t I just use some paracord instead of a dedicated clothesline? Yeah, these are kinda speciality pieces that are either not entirely necessary or can be improvised, but in my opinion, it’s nice to have options.

Sometimes it’s nice to have purpose designed gear that just does what it’s meant to do!

As I plan my next big backpacking trip, I assure you that I will be bringing both the Sea to Summit Drylight Towel and the Sea to Summit Lite Line Clothesline, as I’ll probably be showering every day on the Camino de Santiago and hand washing clothes every day or two.

Speaking of hiking the Camino de Santiago, this brings me to some other products that I’ve bought from Sea to Summit, namely their excellent Dry Bags, Stuff Sacks, and Compression Sacks, which I use to keep my gear organized, compressed, and dry.

Additionally, I’m a huge fan of using Packing Cubes when traveling, and Sea to Summit also has an excellent TSA Approved See Through Pouch and even a TSA Approved See Through Pouch with Bottles so you can travel with TSA compliant liquids. I haven’t flown since buying them, but I’m ready to!

Then there’s the lightweight Hanging Toiletry Bag, which will be perfect while hiking the Camino de Santiago. I’ve found this to be useful on many adventures!

Yes, I’ve bought many items from Sea to Summit over the years. They have all held up over time and hard use, and I have only come to trust the Sea to Summit brand more and more.

Most recently, after becoming an affiliate with Sea to Summit, I picked up the Sea to Summit First Aid Lightweight Dry Bag, which I think is an absolutely fantastic product, as it so obviously indicates that its contents are First Aid items!

Sure, you could keep your First Aid kit dry in another dry bag, but why not get one that absolutely SCREAMS that it’s a First Aid kit and even has a window so that the contents are easily recognized?

So what’s next? I know that I’ll be using products from Sea to Summit indefinitely, but what product will I be getting next? I’ll share with you two items that do not currently own that I have my eyes on.

First, I really want to get the NEW in March, 2023 Evac Compression Dry Bag HD with it’s rugged Cordura. I’m very excited to get my hands on this product as soon as possible to keep my sleeping bag super compressed on backpacking trips and totally dry any time the weather calls for it!

What makes this product particularly interesting to me is the eVent base, which allows the dry bag to compress incredibly well by allowing air to be pushed out of the bottom of the bag!

Second, though they were out of stock the last time I checked, I’m really interested in getting the Sea to Summit Quagmire eVent Gaiters, which could not only be useful when it’s muddy or snowy, but they could also lend a degree of protection from snake bites and cuts and scrapes from the landscape.

With the combination of 1000D Cordura toughness and eVent® breathability, these things have got to be durable!

Well, I guess that’s it for today. I just can’t say enough about my experience with Sea to Summit over the years, and I hope you feel the same way!

I’m proud to be a participant in the Sea to Summit Affiliate Program!
